Growth and struggle are often interlocked in the landscape of maturity. This series represents the tension between inevitable tangles in life and the wondrous freedom that is offered in Christ. Lindsey Meyer states, "When I begin to embrace my inadequacy and weakness God meets me where I am and it is there that sweet liberation is found and deep love abounds."
Although working mostly in oil, Meyer often transitions into multi-media works, acrylic and watercolor. Her paintings are alive with rich color, texture, and movement, valuing these aspects are more important than a recognizable image. Fashion, interior design, and textiles are her main source of inspiration, finding that her roots in apparel and visual arts have had much influence in her paintings.
