About Barrett Brown-Fried

Barrett Brown-Fried is an architect, artist, and educator living in Brooklyn. He has worked at many notable architectural firms in the city, including the Rockwell Group and Ennead Architects and is currently on faculty at the Pratt Institute College of Art and Design. He is inspired by the urban fabric of New York, and the secret spaces people carve into the city. His photography focuses on seeing the city from unexpected perspectives and on the contrasts and spectacles that illuminate New York. His work has been published in Time Out New York, Domus Magazine, Arch Daily, among other periodicals and websites. He holds a Master of Architecture from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture.
